  • Job Overview
  • We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations / Transfer Agency Operations Analyst to join a fast-paced, high-volume financial operations team in Quincy, MA. This role will be responsible for processing daily trades, managing high-volume client inquiries, supporting transaction security and account maintenance activities, and assisting with end-of-day pricing operations.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities across several systems in a time-sensitive financial environment.
  • Core Responsibilities
  • Process hundreds of manual and automated trades on a daily basis.
  • Manage approximately 100–150 client inquiries per day through Outlook and Salesforce.
  • Track, research, and resolve client requests while ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Process transaction security forms and authorized signature updates.
  • Conduct callback verification for wire instructions and bank details to help prevent fraud.
  • Support custody and account-related changes and ensure required documentation is complete.
  • Assist with end-of-day and nightly pricing activities, including pricing releases around 6:30–7:30 PM EST.
  • Work across multiple internal and proprietary systems to process transactions and resolve operational issues.
  • Identify operational issues, assess their potential business impact, and escalate when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including Relationship Management, Client Implementation, Reporting, and other operational groups.
  • Support trade processing, reporting, settlements, and other daily financial operations.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and accountability when handling sensitive financial information and transactions.
  • Look for opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology, including Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled tools.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior professional experience in financial operations, banking, asset management, fund operations, or transfer agency operations preferred.
  • Experience with trade processing or transaction processing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or potential risks.
  • Strong critical thinking and independent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of emails, transactions, and requests simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems and learning proprietary applications quickly.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Preferred Financial Domain Knowledge
  • Experience or knowledge in the following areas is highly desirable:
  • Transfer agency operations
  • Trade processing and reporting
  • Commingled funds and unitized structures
  • NAV calculations and fund pricing
  • Trade guidelines and settlement dates
  • Custodian processes
  • Cash settlements
  • Wire instructions and transaction verification
  • Financial transaction controls
