  • About the Role
  • TEKsystems is seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Analyst to support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) initiatives for CAVA's growing restaurant portfolio. This position is ideal for professionals with 1–3 years of experience who are looking to strengthen their expertise in financial planning, business analytics, and corporate finance within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • As a Financial Analyst, you will partner with Finance, Accounting, Restaurant Operations, and cross-functional business teams to support budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, performance reporting, and strategic decision-making. You will work with large financial datasets, develop reporting dashboards, improve planning processes, and provide actionable insights that drive operational and financial performance.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range financial planning activities.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance financial models for General & Administrative (G&A) expenses and Capital Expenditures (CapEx).
  • Perform variance analysis comparing actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze operational and financial trends to identify business opportunities and potential risks.
  • Prepare recurring financial reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial performance metrics.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and business leaders to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Improve reporting processes through automation and process optimization.
  • Create scalable reporting solutions using Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Extract, analyze, validate, and interpret financial data from ERP systems and enterprise data warehouses.
  • Support month-end close activities, including accruals, prepaid expense reviews, and expense validation.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis, investment evaluations, and strategic business research.
  • Participate in post-investment reviews and continuous improvement initiatives within the FP&A function.
  • Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and expense recognition.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
  • Complex formulas
  • Pivot Tables
  • Financial analysis
  • Data modeling
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and translating findings into business insights.
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational database querying.
  • Familiarity with ERP and financial planning systems such as:
  • SAP
  • Oracle
  • Hyperion
  • Adaptive Planning
  • Anaplan
  • Experience with enterprise data warehouse platforms such as:
  • Snowflake
  • Amazon Redshift
  • Google BigQuery
  • Databricks
  • Experience using business intelligence tools including Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Financial Analysis, FP&A, Corporate Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and corporate finance principles.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL and enterprise analytics environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional business teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
