Role Description The Financial Analyst at The OT Hacker Mindset will be a part-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. The individual in this role will support financial planning and analysis for the channel, including preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses tied to content production, marketing, and operations. Day-to-day tasks will include analyzing financial statements, tracking revenue streams and expenses, building financial models, and preparing concise reports and dashboards for leadership. The Financial Analyst will also assist in financial reporting, monitor key performance indicators, and provide insights to support strategic decisions, monetization strategies, and long-term financial sustainability.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance, with knowledge of core financial concepts and best practices relevant to media or digital content businesses.
Proficiency in Financial Planning and Financial Reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and preparing management reports.
Ability to analyze and interpret Financial Statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Advanced Analytical Skills, including building financial models, evaluating scenarios, and translating data into actionable insights.
Experience with spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets) and basic familiarity with financial or accounting software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a part-time, on-site setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Interest in cybersecurity, OT/ICS/SCADA, or technology-focused content is a plus.
