Development and Finance Analyst/Associate
Job Overview: The Development and Finance Analyst or Associate supports Stirling's development and finance pipeline across all active and pursuit-stage projects. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for keeping deals moving - from initial pursuit through closing and into construction - while also working closely with our Asset Management team on annual property valuations. The role offers exposure across Development, Finance, Asset Management, Property Management, and Investments, with the opportunity to grow into a versatile, company-wide resource. We're looking for someone with sharp analytical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a genuine desire to build a long-term career in Commercial Real Estate.
- Core Responsibilities
- Attend and take detailed notes on active development calls and meetings and distribute accurate summaries promptly following each
- Draft, revise, and maintain LOIs, term sheets, agreements, and deal correspondence under direction of senior team members
- Build, maintain, and update pro formas and financial models for active development projects and new pursuits
- Support annual property valuations across the existing portfolio, working under the oversight of the Asset Management team
- Manage and organize deal files, timelines, and critical dates across the development pipeline
- Coordinate with third parties including brokers, attorneys, lenders, and consultants to keep deal workstreams on track
- Prepare investment memos, pursuit packages, and presentation materials as needed
- Support JV structuring and investor reporting on development projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 0-3 years of relevant experience; recent graduates and current college seniors are encouraged to apply
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Argus Enterprise a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines at once
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams and offices
Location: Based in New Orleans, LA, with regular time in Covington, LA. Stirling's development, finance, asset management, investment sales, and corporate teams span Baton Rouge, Covington, New Orleans, Daphne, AL, and Pensacola, FL, and this role will work with people company-wide.
