About The Role
The role oversees rigorous financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting processes to support strategic decision-making and ensure regulatory compliance. This position acts as a bridge between corporate finance operations and executive leadership, translating complex financial performance into actionable strategic insights.
The focus is on maintaining US GAAP compliance, preparing key elements of SEC filings (including 10-K and 10-Q disclosures), and executing internal controls under the SOX 404 framework. The role sits within a lean, high-performing corporate finance team and interfaces directly with accounting, legal, and operational department heads.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed three-statement financial models in Excel to forecast revenue, OpEx, and cash flow on a rolling monthly basis
- Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly variance analyses comparing actual results against budget and forecast, flagging risks and opportunities to leadership
- Support the preparation of SEC filings, including drafting footnotes, management discussion and analysis (MD&A) sections, and supporting schedules
- Design, document, and execute key SOX controls over financial reporting to ensure full compliance with internal and external audit standards
- Collaborate with accounting teams during month-end close to reconcile variances, review accruals, and ensure GAAP compliance
- Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards in Tableau or Power BI to track key SaaS metrics, departmental spend, and capital allocation efficiency
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or public accounting (Big 4 preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a highly quantitative field
- Deep technical understanding of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting guidelines
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VBA, complex nested formulas, financial modeling) and experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, Workday, or SAP
- Strong communication skills with a proven track record of explaining financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- Bonus: Active CPA license, CFA charterholder, or experience using SQL and BI tools to extract and analyze large data sets
