- We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance/Operations Analyst (FOA) to join our team. The FOA will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing insights to the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience to contribute and make an impact.
- Key Responsibilities
- · Analysis and reporting of store level and consolidated financial information.
- · Assist with transition of vendors towards EDI platform including a live inventory system rollout at stores
- · Reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to business performance, product movement, inventory, and profitability.
- · Management reporting supporting store, warehouse, and operations, including:
- Identifying sales trends of high-performing and low-performing customers and SKUs, and growth opportunities across major categories.
- Forecasting demand based on historical sales data, seasonal trends, and market conditions.
- Tracking inventory performance, highlighting out-of-stock items, slow-moving inventory, and shrink.
- Preparing forecasts and budgets for store level and consolidated group of companies.
- · Reporting and analytics with online store ordering platform to enable growth.
- · Support AI & BI initiatives to improve reporting and analytical capabilities.
- · Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales/inventory data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- · Use SQL to extract data for ad hoc report creation
- · Generate and distribute regular sales/inventory reports, providing clear and actionable insights.
- · Collaborate with accounting, purchasing, merchandising, and operations teams as required.
- · Contribute to the development and maintenance of sales/inventory forecasting models.
- · Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- · Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- · 1 to 3 years of experience within the retail or grocery industry is an asset
- · Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
- · SQL experience/knowledge is an asset
- · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- · Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- · Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- · A proactive and results-oriented approach with a strong desire to learn and contribute.
- Working Conditions
- · Full-time in-office position with occasional travel to retail locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) as needed.
