About The Role

The Capital Financial Analyst position at Molson Coors is a strategic role within the Supply Chain Finance team based in Milwaukee. This role provides essential financial support across various North American functions, focusing on capital projects and investments. As a key member of the Capital Finance team, you will work closely with stakeholders across Technical Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Tax, Internal Audit, and Technical Services & Supply (TS&S). Reporting to the Senior Manager of Capital, you will be responsible for overseeing capital spend, evaluating investment proposals, and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence business decisions through detailed analysis, strategic planning, and proactive communication, contributing to the company's growth and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant four-year degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, along with a minimum of four years of experience as a financial analyst. A solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls is essential. Candidates should demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems, preferably SAP. Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are critical. Confidence, professionalism, and sound judgment are necessary to build effective relationships across different departments. Additionally, familiarity with capital project management, budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure processes will be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

As a Capital Financial Analyst, your core responsibilities will include providing objective, timely, and accurate financial oversight of capital expenditures, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and internal control standards. You will partner with various business stakeholders to evaluate capital investment proposals, assess potential financial returns, and assist in prioritizing projects within the capital portfolio. Monitoring actual capital spend against approved budgets and forecasts will be a key task, requiring you to analyze variances and recommend corrective actions to optimize capital deployment. You will support the full lifecycle of capital projects—from budgeting and forecasting to CIP (Capital Improvement Program) management, project closeout, and transition to depreciation. Managing multiple deliverables and deadlines, communicating spend risks, funding constraints, and governance issues proactively to management will be vital to your success in this role.
