About The Role

The Capital Financial Analyst role at Molson Coors is a vital position within the Supply Chain Finance team based in Milwaukee. This role offers a unique opportunity to support and drive financial strategies related to capital investments across North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial oversight, analysis, and reporting for capital projects, ensuring alignment with corporate governance standards and internal controls. Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, Capital, the analyst will collaborate with various departments including Technical Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Tax, Internal Audit, and Technical Services & Supply (TS&S). This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about contributing to the company's growth through strategic capital management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant four-year degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, along with a minimum of four years of experience as a financial analyst. A strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls is essential. Advanced proficiency in Excel, coupled with experience working with financial systems such as SAP, is required. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Confidence, professionalism, and sound judgment are critical in building relationships across diverse business functions. Previous experience in capital project management, budgeting, and forecasting will be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Capital Financial Analyst include providing objective and timely financial oversight of capital expenditures, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The analyst will evaluate and prioritize capital investment proposals, assessing their financial returns and strategic alignment. Monitoring actual capital spend against approved budgets and forecasts is a key aspect of the role, requiring thorough variance analysis and proactive recommendations for optimizing capital deployment. The role involves supporting the full lifecycle of capital projects—from initial budgeting and forecasting to project closeout and transition to depreciation. Additionally, the analyst will manage multiple deliverables and deadlines, communicating spend risks, funding constraints, and governance issues effectively to management and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
