As the organization continues to grow, they are seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team and play a key role in supporting both financial performance and operational decision-making.
- Your New Role
- As Financial Analyst, you will act as a critical link between Finance and Operations, providing valuable insight into manufacturing performance, costs, and profitability. This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with production teams to understand the drivers behind operational results while delivering data-driven recommendations that improve efficiency and support strategic decisions.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing production costs, variances, and manufacturing KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Participating in product costing activities, ensuring accuracy and supporting cost optimization initiatives.
- Collaborating with production leaders to understand productivity, waste, and cost drivers.
- Preparing financial and operational analyses to support business decisions.
- Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and analytical tools for management.
- Supporting month-end close activities, forecasting processes, and annual budgeting.
- Monitoring manufacturing KPIs and providing actionable insights.
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and recommending practical solutions.
- Supporting system implementations and optimization projects across finance and operations.
- Acting as a key liaison between Operations and Finance to ensure the integrity and relevance of financial and operational data.
- What You'll Need to Succeed
- To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 3-7 years of experience in financial analysis, management accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance within a Canadian business environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, costing methodologies, and cost structures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems.
- Experience with Power BI would be considered a strong asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with operational stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, strong critical thinking abilities, and a structured approach to work.
- A proactive, self-motivated mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A CPA designation, or active pursuit of a CPA, would be considered an asset.
