FP&A Analyst
We are seeking a highly analytical and business minded FP&A Analyst to join a dynamic finance team within a sophisticated real estate investment platform.
Reporting to the Director, FP&A, the Analyst will work closely with asset management, investments, analytics, finance, and property management teams to translate financial and operational data into meaningful insights that support business and investment decisions.
The successful candidate will be more than someone who can produce financial reports. They will be naturally analytical, business minded, and curious about the “why” behind the numbers. They will be comfortable working with large and complex datasets, but equally interested in understanding the business context behind the analysis and using it to support better decisions.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecasts by partnering with asset management, analytics, finance, investments, and third-party property management teams;
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis, including variance analysis across revenue, expenses, NOI, and other key financial drivers;
- Analyse financial and operational performance to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas requiring management attention;
- Support monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting across the portfolio;
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, rolling forecasts, and long-range plans across the portfolio;
- Monitor and evolve KPIs and reporting to reflect changes in market conditions, operating performance, and business priorities;
- Prepare executive-level financial reports, presentations, and strategic planning materials, translating complex information into clear, concise, decision-ready insights;
- Maintain interactive Power BI dashboards providing visibility into portfolio and asset-level performance;
- Apply strong business acumen to understand the underlying drivers of financial performance and connect analysis to broader business objectives;
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve financial performance, reporting processes, and accountability across the organisation;
- Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI and automation across modelling, forecasting, reporting, and data management processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field;
- 1+ year of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related analytical role;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data and identify meaningful insights;
- Strong business acumen and an ability to understand how financial results connect to operational performance and broader business objectives;
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial models;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate analysis to both financial and non-financial stakeholders;
- Highly detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;
- A proactive and curious mindset, with a genuine interest in improving processes through technology, AI, and automation.
- Compensation & Benefits
- The position offers a competitive base salary, discretionary annual performance bonus, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, healthcare spending account, employer-matched retirement savings plan, and additional employee perks and wellness initiatives.
