Analyst, Financial Performance 18 month contract with possibility to go permanent
Reporting to the Manager, financial Performance, The Analyst, Financial Performance will work with a high functioning team to support various finance functions for our client's group of companies. With an emphasis on developing best in class reporting and analysis, this role will be part of a team that supports an organization poised for accelerated growth. This will be fostered through leadership, and a commitment to excellence in the services it provides to the corporate group of companies. As a key member of the Finance team, the individual will work closely with peers and subject matter experts to develop approaches and tactics that drive business objectives and initiatives from the day-to-day and monthly function for our client's group of companies.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Supports the Treasury function with administrative banking duties which includes daily bank statement review to investigate and clear cheque exceptions or unusual activity, set up of EFT and wire payments, cheque deposits and required journal entries, assist with the weekly cheque/EFT run and other miscellaneous banking duties ·
- Assists in month-end duties which includes:
- Preparing bank reconciliations for certain companies required journal entries
- Intercompany transfers and reconciliation
- Recording intercompany interest ·
- Provides billing support for certain companies including invoice creation, issuance of statements, collections support and recording payments received ·
- Supports the administration of the company wide Card program including validation and uploading of financial information required journal entries ·
- Utilizing strong business acumen and proven customer service capabilities to liaise with customers and suppliers as needed
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration/Finance or equivalent
- Working towards completing CPA designation ideally
- Advanced Excel skills
- 2 to 3 years of related financial analysis experience
