This company is looking for a high-performing Financial Analyst who will support the core FP&A functions including: financial planning, reporting, and cash management. They are looking for an analyst who can help strengthen the organizations analytical capabilities and collaborate affectively across departments to drive the businesses insight, clarity and efficiency across their operations.

An ideal Analyst has: strong analytical skills, proactive learner, strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of integrity and confidentiality. Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy, as well as able to establish priorities under tight deadlines and have a proven track record as a motivated, self-starter who can work on multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to have high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Prior relevant experience in the energy industry or financial analysis role is strongly preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides high level assistance to deliver financial planning, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Provides support for month end close processes and performance/KPI reporting.
  • Works with various internal and external stakeholders to prepare complex financial analysis and modeling.
  • Responsible for Treasury functions including cash management and cash forecasting.
  • Develops financial dashboards for board presentations.
  • Takes initiative to deliver process improvements and operational efficacies.
  • Contributes, leads and executes internal\external reporting and analytics.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to coworkers by sharing information in a constructive, positive manner and respects the diversity of the IES workforce in actions, words, and deeds.
  • Maintains commitment to a high standard of safety, comply with all safety laws and IES safety policies/rules.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • On an as needed basis serves as backup for other Finance staff in their absence.
  • Performs other duties consistent with the scope of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience
  • Four to eight years corporate finance experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field.
  • Skills

  • Strong Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills, including spreadsheets, pivot tables and construction\maintenance of complex spreadsheets.
  • Strong sense of team spirit and ability to transfer it to others.

  • Ability to evaluate information and exercise good judgment in making decisions.
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality. Problem solving-the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information as appropriate.
