Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst with a strong background in benefit insurance to support financial planning, profitability analysis, and operational performance. This role plays a critical part in delivering data-driven insights that influence key business decisions across product lines, distribution channels, and service operations. This role reports to the Director of Finance and is an integral part of the Accounting and Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth financial analysis and develop key metrics, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Assess profitability by distributor and product line; recommend improvement strategies.
  • Conduct cost accounting analysis within a service-based organization.
  • Manage financial oversight of third-party vendors, including cost tracking and budget adherence.
  • Evaluate vendor performance against service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual terms.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of census files and insurance-related data.
  • Support adherence to regulatory requirements within the insurance industry.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online for financial tracking and reporting.
  • Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI and advanced Excel.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Location & Authorization: Strictly US-based; active US work authorization required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within insurance or benefits.
  • Healthcare/Insurance Knowledge: Strong understanding of benefit insurance products (health, life, disability, etc.). Experience with Medicaid and regulated healthcare billing is highly preferred.
  • Accounting Depth: Proficiency in cost accounting for service organizations.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with QuickBooks Online and Power BI or similar visualization tools. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial modeling.
