About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Finance Business Analyst to join our remote Enterprise Systems team, based in Florida, USA. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to serve as a pivotal partner to the Finance organization, owning the configuration, support, and continuous improvement of Workday Financials. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for Finance system requests, troubleshoot configuration issues, and lead strategic initiatives that align with Unity’s business priorities. This dual-impact role requires a proactive individual capable of balancing day-to-day operational support with participation in cross-functional projects, ensuring system reliability, accuracy, and scalability. The role also involves close collaboration with Finance and IT teams, translating complex business needs into effective Workday solutions, and supporting system upgrades and enhancements.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials configuration and support experience in a business or functional analyst role
  • Deep knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules, including configuration of business processes, validation rules, and security
  • Experience supporting daily Finance operations while contributing to project-based initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in gathering business requirements, conducting gap analysis, and documenting functional designs
  • Solid understanding of core finance and accounting principles such as GAAP, month-end close, AP/AR workflows, and expense management
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple requests and projects simultaneously
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills and a proven track record of building trusted relationships with business partners

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Workday Financials administrator and support contact for the Finance team, managing configuration issues, user requests, and inquiries
  • Diagnose and resolve configuration issues across modules including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement, and Banking & Settlement
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional design specifications and system configurations
  • Support and implement system enhancements, new features, and process improvements from requirements gathering through testing and deployment
  • Participate in Workday semi-annual release cycles, reviewing release notes, assessing impacts, coordinating testing, and managing deployment activities
  • Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configuration guides, business process flows, and training materials
  • Collaborate with the broader Enterprise Systems team on initiatives involving Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, and integrations with third-party systems
  • Support strategic priorities such as automation, reporting enhancements, and scalability initiatives aligned with company growth
  • Act as a liaison between Finance and IT, ensuring system changes are implemented with proper controls, testing, and minimal operational disruption
  • Manage support tickets and project tasks through established prioritization processes, communicating progress and expectations to stakeholders
