- Title: Federal Privacy Program Support – Privacy Analyst
- Location: Remote
- Duration: 6‑Month Contract
Our Customer, a software and technology solutions organization, is searching for a talented Privacy Analyst to help with Federal Privacy Program Support, If you have direct experience working with federal privacy programs and excel in a fast-paced virtual environment, this role could be an excellent match.
- Core Responsibilities
- Assist with the execution and ongoing management of federal privacy program mandates
- Support adherence to FISMA and relevant NIST privacy control standards
- Participate in the development and review of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and System of Records Notices (SORNs)
- Analyze data handling practices to identify and mitigate privacy-related risks
- Create, revise, and maintain documentation such as privacy processes, guidelines, and policies
- Work closely with program, legal, and security teams to integrate privacy considerations into system and process design
- Help monitor privacy incidents and collaborate on corrective and preventive measures
- Advise teams on proper data minimization, retention, and handling approaches
- Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a federal privacy program
- Strong hands-on familiarity with NIST 800‑53 Rev 5 controls
- Demonstrated support of FISMA compliance initiatives
- Knowledge of the NIST Privacy Framework
- Understanding of U.S. privacy regulations, including:
- Privacy Act of 1974
- OMB Circular A‑130
- E‑Government Act
- Experience conducting PIAs and assisting with SORNs
- Background developing or updating privacy documentation and policy materials
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess privacy risks
- Comfortable working remotely and meeting time-sensitive deadlines
- Excellent writing skills, particularly for formal and compliance-related content
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing privacy support in cloud or SaaS environments (FedRAMP knowledge is a plus)
- Relevant certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPM, or similar
- Prior collaboration with federal agencies or government contractors
