- Job Type:ETL Test Lead
- Location: Calgary, AB – Onsite
- Duration :12 months plus
- Focus: SADB application modernization / legacy-to-modern migration
- They are looking for a Senior Test Lead / QA Lead with strong ETL/Data Migration testing experience, not a traditional UI automation tester.
- Mandatory Skills
- Test Strategy & Test Planning – able to create an end-to-end test strategy for application modernization/rewrite projects.
- Migration Testing – strong experience testing legacy-to-modern application/data migrations.
- ETL/Data Validation – hands-on validation of data mapping, transformation logic, data integrity, reconciliation and business rules.
- SQL – strong SQL for backend/data validation.
- Python – automation for data validation/testing is highly desirable and effectively part of the technical profile.
- API Testing – Postman or RestAssured.
- Test Automation Frameworks – experience building/scaling automation frameworks.
- Regression Testing – especially for application rewrites and modernization.
- Parallel/Production Testing – experience comparing legacy vs. new systems in parallel and proving functional/data equivalence.
- Kafka Testing – hands-on testing/validation of Kafka-based or event-driven systems.
- Performance & Reliability Testing – validate performance, scalability, uptime and reliability.
- Business Rule Validation – ability to understand and validate complex business logic.
- Audit/Logging Validation – experience validating logging and audit trails.
- Strongly Preferred
- Experience with railway/transportation, logistics, or other large-scale critical data-processing systems.
- Experience with distributed/cloud-based architectures.
- Experience introducing AI/GenAI techniques into software testing.
- Experience working on large-scale legacy application modernization/rewrite projects.
