• Job Title: ETL DataStage Developer

• Role Descriptions:

The ETL Developer will support the design, development, enhancement, implementation, and production support of AML data solutions within the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL). The role focuses on building and maintaining scalable data pipelines supporting AML platforms including Name Screening, Customer Risk Rating (CRR), Transaction Monitoring (TM), and FINTRAC Regulatory Reporting.

• Key Responsibilities
• • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain ETL/Data Integration solutions using DataStage, Python, SQL/HQL, and UNIX.
• • Develop and support AML data pipelines within the Enterprise Data Lake environment.
• • Implement source-to-target mappings and complex transformation logic.
• • Onboard new data sources and enhance existing AML data feeds.
• • Build and maintain batch processing frameworks, workflows, and scheduling processes.
• • Develop data cleansing, standardization, reconciliation, and validation routines.
• • Support AML initiatives related to:
• ◦ Name Screening (ACRM)
• ◦ Customer Risk Rating (CRR)
• ◦ Transaction Monitoring (TM)
• ◦ FINTRAC Reporting
• • Enhance data quality controls, monitoring, and lineage solutions.
• • Perform code remediation, performance tuning, optimization, and software currency upgrades.
• • Execute unit testing, defect resolution, and production deployment activities.
• • Investigate and resolve production incidents and data issues.
• • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• • Support release activities, post-implementation validation, and on-call production support when required.
• • Maintain technical documentation, ETL specifications, and operational procedures.

• Required Skills & Experience
• • 6+ years of ETL/Data Engineering experience.
• • Strong hands-on experience with:
• ◦ IBM DataStage
• ◦ Python
• ◦ SQL/HQL
• ◦ UNIX Shell Scripting
• • Experience working with Enterprise Data Warehouse/Data Lake platforms.
• • Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• • Experience developing complex ETL jobs, data transformations, and data integration solutions.
• • Knowledge of data quality, reconciliation, and data lineage concepts.
• • Experience with SDLC, testing, deployment, and production support processes.
• • Ability to analyze and optimize ETL performance and data processing workflows.

• Preferred Qualifications
• • Banking, AML, Financial Crime, or Regulatory Reporting domain experience.
• • Experience supporting Name Screening, CRR, Transaction Monitoring, or FINTRAC reporting platforms.
• • Familiarity with Hadoop/Hive ecosystems.
• • Knowledge of Data Governance and Regulatory Compliance requirements.
• • Experience in Agile delivery environments.
