CTG is seeking a skilled Epic Research: Clinical and Billing and Ambulatory Analyst to join our team. The Epic Research: Clinical and Billing & Ambulatory Analyst will provide application support, optimization, and maintenance for two key Epic modules: Epic Research: Clinical and Billing (population health) and EpicCare Ambulatory (clinical outpatient workflows). This role is responsible for ensuring reliable system performance, supporting end‑users, troubleshooting issues, and partnering with operational leaders to enhance workflows. The analyst splits their time between both applications, balancing day‑to‑day support with ongoing improvement initiatives.

- Key Responsibilities
- Application Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide daily tier‑2/3 support for Research and Ambulatory end‑users, including clinicians, care managers, and operational staff.
- Investigate, triage, and resolve incidents, service requests, and break/fix issues.
- Analyze root causes and implement sustainable solutions to reduce recurring issues.
- Collaborate with Epic TS, internal teams, and technical resources when escalation is required.
- Build, Configuration & Maintenance
- Maintain and optimize build within Epic Research: Clinical and Billing (registries, care gaps, attribution logic, quality measures, dashboards).
- Support Ambulatory workflows including visit documentation, orders, SmartTools, clinical decision support, and provider personalization.
- Perform system updates, regression testing, and release management activities.
- Ensure build follows organizational standards, governance processes, and Epic best practices.
- Workflow Optimization & Operational Partnership
- Work closely with clinical and population health stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into system enhancements.
- Conduct workflow assessments and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and user satisfaction.
- Support quality reporting, care management programs, and value‑based care initiatives through Epic Research: Clinical and Billing tools.
- Assist with training content, tip sheets, and communication for new features or workflow changes.
- Project Support
- Participate in small to medium‑sized projects, including new program rollouts, optimization initiatives, and system upgrades.
- Contribute to requirements gathering, design sessions, testing, and go‑live support.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams such as Reporting, Integration, Security, and Training.
- Documentation & Governance
- Maintain accurate documentation of build, workflows, and support processes.
- Follow change control procedures and participate in application governance meetings.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security standards.
- Qualifications
- Required
- Epic certification or accreditation in Epic Research: Clinical and Billing and Ambulatory.
- Experience supporting Epic applications in a healthcare environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clinical and operational stakeholders.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities across two application areas.
