- We have officially opened a full-time, permanent position for a Certified Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation (Clin Doc) Analyst. If you are an Epic-certified professional looking to take ownership of end-to-end clinical builds and join a high-growth hospital IT team, let’s talk.
- We are moving quickly, with an aggressive onboarding timeline targeting an official start date during the first or second week of July.
The Highlights:
- Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time Employee (FTE)
- Format: Remote (with mandatory on-site travel for critical milestones like go-live)
- Core Environment: Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation (Clin Doc)
- Experience Level: 1–4 years of dedicated Epic analyst build experience.
- Compensation: $115,000 – $128,000 / year base salary (dependent on experience).
- Requirements: Current, active Epic Certification in Inpatient Clinical Documentation is required.
- On-Site Milestone Requirements:
- While day-to-day operations offer remote flexibility, this position requires mandatory on-site travel to support critical project milestones, including:
- Go-live deployment phases and elbow-to-elbow command center support
- Major upgrade weeks and specialized operational workshops
- High-intensity integrated testing, parallel testing, and system sign-off blocks
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Core Clin Doc Configuration: Design, build, configure, and maintain foundational Clin Doc components including Flowsheets (FLO), Navigators (LVN), DocFlowsheet Builder, LDA (Lines, Drains, Airways) rows, and custom Note templates.
- Advanced Documentation Tools: Build and optimize Care Plans, Best Practice Advisories (BPAs), Clinical Rules (CER), Patient Lists, and system documentation tools that directly interface with the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
- Clinical Workflow Analysis: Partner directly with nursing, ancillary staff, and inpatient clinical leadership to map out current and future-state documentation workflows, ensuring system builds minimize documentation burden and improve nursing efficiency.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop integrated test scripts, conduct regression testing, and validate complex clinical documentation workflows across POC, TST, and PRD environments to ensure completely stable deployments.
- Optimization and System Maintenance: Serve as a tier-2/tier-3 troubleshooting resource to resolve inpatient system documentation bugs, manage optimization requests, and analyze Epic release notes (Nova notes) for implementation.
- Why Apply?
- This is an ideal opportunity for an early-to-mid-career Clin Doc analyst looking to expand their skills within a robust IT ecosystem. You will gain deep implementation experience, own critical inpatient configuration workflows, and directly influence clinical documentation systems that impact bedside patient care delivery.
