Job description:

  • Job Summary Key Responsibilities
  • Support Epic Beaker application build, configuration, maintenance, and optimization activities.
  • Analyze laboratory and business requirements and translate them into effective Epic Beaker solutions.
  • Configure and maintain laboratory workflows including specimen collection, orders, results reporting, microbiology, anatomic pathology, and clinical pathology processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, incidents, and service requests within established SLAs.
  • Participate in workflow design sessions, requirement gathering, testing, deployment, and go-live support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Epic teams including Orders, Ambulatory, Inpatient, Willow, Radiant, and Interfaces.
  • Support system upgrades, integrated testing, regression testing, and release management activities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to enhance laboratory operations.
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications, documentation, test plans, and knowledge repositories.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, laboratory standards, and organizational governance processes.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience supporting Epic Beaker implementations, enhancements, or managed services.
  • Strong understanding of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and healthcare workflows.
  • Experience in application configuration, testing, production support, and defect management.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage medium-complexity assignments and client interactions.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology (CP) Certification and/or Epic Beaker Anatomic Pathology (AP) Certification.
  • Experience with:
  • Clinical Pathology (CP)
  • Anatomic Pathology (AP)
  • Laboratory Operations
  • Orders & Results Management
  • Instrument Interfaces
  • Specimen Collection Workflows
  • Working knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and laboratory regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working in Agile and ITIL environments.
  • Key Responsibilities 1. To design and develop robust and scalable end-to-end solutions, covering both front-end and back-end development.
  • 2. To enhance an existing application and/or product, to incorporate a new feature or modify an existing one.
  • 3. To tackle complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
  • 4. To identify and address bottlenecks in both front-end and back-end systems and optimize application performance / responsiveness through code improvements.
  • 5. To communicate effectively with team members , collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.

We offer:

  • Pay and Benefits
  • Pay Range Minimum: $ 82,000 per year
  • Pay Range Maximum: $ 138,000 per year

  • Compensation and Benefits
  • A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
