Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country’s biggest problems, from education to the economy, broken communities, and toxic division, among dozens of other pressing issues. We provide our partners with access to resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.

We are seeking a bold, entrepreneurial Enterprise Architecture & Data Leader to shape how technology, data, and AI enable innovation and accelerate impact across Stand Together.

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic technology thought leader who thrives on building from the ground up, challenging conventional approaches, and turning complex technology environments into scalable, connected ecosystems.

As a member of the technology leadership team, you will establish and lead our enterprise architecture and data function, setting the direction for how systems connect, data is shared, and technology decisions are made. You will create architectural foundations, trusted data models, and reusable solutions that empower teams to move faster, innovate with confidence, and deliver greater value.

We are looking for a leader who sees architecture as an enabler of innovation, not a barrier to progress — someone who combines deep technical expertise, sound business judgment, and an entrepreneurial mindset to build what comes next.

How You Will Contribute

  • Shape Enterprise Architecture Strategy: Establish and lead enterprise architecture principles, reference architectures, decision frameworks, and technology standards that create alignment while empowering teams to innovate and execute independently.
  • Build a Trusted Enterprise Data Foundation: Define and advance the enterprise data model, including shared definitions, data ownership, quality, lineage, integration, and governance to enable reliable insights and AI-driven capabilities.
  • Create the Paved Road for Innovation: Develop reusable architecture patterns, templates, shared services, and automated controls that simplify technology decisions, accelerate delivery, and reduce unnecessary reviews.
  • Drive Strategic Technology Decisions: Establish enterprise-wide frameworks for build, buy, and reuse decisions, including the effective adoption of AI, emerging technologies, and enterprise platforms.
  • Lead Enterprise Systems Strategy: Define authoritative systems of record, guide technology rationalization, and establish architectural decision rights that reduce duplication, improve interoperability, and support long-term scalability.
  • Enable Cross-Enterprise Collaboration: Partner with Product, Platform Engineering, Security, Legal, and business leaders to translate strategic priorities into practical, secure, and scalable technology and data solutions.
  • Establish Reusable Enterprise Services: Guide the architecture and integrity of the enterprise service catalog, ensuring services are repeatable, well-defined, and designed for efficient delivery.
  • Champion Continuous Innovation: Transform recurring architecture challenges into scalable solutions, challenge outdated practices, and measure success through adoption, trusted data, faster decisions, and measurable business value.

What You Will Bring

  • Extensive experience leading enterprise architecture and data capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to translate technology strategy into measurable organizational outcomes.
  • Deep technical expertise across enterprise architecture, data modeling, data engineering, cloud platforms, system integration, security, and modern AI technologies.
  • Proven success designing and implementing enterprise-wide architecture frameworks, shared data models, reusable technology patterns, and governance practices.
  • Strong understanding of systems of record, enterprise information models, data quality, lineage, integration, and modern data platforms.
  • An entrepreneurial, builder-oriented mindset with the ability to challenge conventional thinking, navigate ambiguity, and turn strategic ideas into practical solutions.
  • Exceptional business acumen and executive-level communication skills, with the ability to influence technology direction and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Sound architectural judgment and the confidence to make complex technology decisions while balancing innovation, security, cost, scalability, and speed.
  • A collaborative, principle-driven leadership approach that creates clarity, encourages ownership, and enables teams to make informed decisions independently.
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.

Standout Candidates Will Bring

  • A track record of building or transforming enterprise architecture and data functions that significantly improved technology agility, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
  • Experience leading architecture strategy across complex, federated, or multi-entity organizations where shared standards must coexist with business autonomy.
  • Deep expertise in AI-enabled architecture, modern data ecosystems, and emerging technologies, with demonstrated success translating innovation into measurable value.
  • Experience establishing architectural decision rights, enterprise service catalogs, and automated governance that accelerate delivery rather than introduce bureaucracy.
  • Proven ability to modernize fragmented technology environments, reduce redundant systems, and create scalable foundations that support future growth.
  • A reputation as a forward-thinking technology leader who inspires innovation, challenges the status quo, and builds strong partnerships across technical and business teams.
  • A passion for applying technology and data to solve meaningful challenges and advance Stand Together's mission.

This is an opportunity to build, influence, and lead at the enterprise level. We are looking for a technology leader who thinks like an entrepreneur, brings the credibility of a seasoned architect, and believes the best architecture enables others to accomplish more.

What We Offer

  • Competitive benefits: Enjoy a 6% 401(k) match with immediate vesting, flexible time off, comprehensive health and dental plans, plus wellness and mental health support through Peloton and Talkspace.
  • A meaningful career: Join a passionate community of over 1,400 employees dedicated to improving lives and driving innovative solutions to complex social challenges.
  • Commitment to growth: Thrive in a non-hierarchical environment that empowers employees to discover, develop and apply their unique talents.

Our Values: Working for an organization within the Stand Together philanthropic community is different from many other places. The culture is deeply rooted in Principle Based Management® (PBM®), a framework guided by the principles that drive human progress, such as dignity, openness, and bottom-up empowerment. PBM® empowers employees to be entrepreneurial, to innovate, and to continually drive transformation.

We believe diversity fuels creativity, broadens knowledge, and helps drive success. That is why we’re proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and strive to treat all employees and applicants with honesty, dignity, and respect.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. For this role, the anticipated base salary range is $210,000–$250,000per year. This role may also be eligible for additional bonus compensation designed to align total compensation with an employee’s overall contribution to the organization.

Our Principles-Based Management™ (PBM) compensation philosophy is grounded in an individualized approach that rewards the long-term value each person creates for the organization. Compensation decisions are informed by a variety of factors, including relevant experience, capabilities, demonstrated skills, role responsibilities, and expected contribution. Consistent with this approach, base salary may vary within or outside of the anticipated range based on these considerations.
