Title: Enterprise PM/ALM Tool Systems Analyst – 100%remote

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Our client is currently using Smartsheet widely across their business teams, and they are looking to replace it and identify suitable alternative platforms. The analyst will assess how Smartsheet is being used today, document what each team actually needs, and recommend fit-for-purpose alternatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and catalog existing Smartsheet use cases (e.g., project tracking, intake and approval workflows, reporting, automations, integrations).
• Conduct interviews and workshops with the user community to understand current workflows, pain points, and must-have capabilities.
• Document clear, testable business and solution requirements, including functional, integration, reporting, security, and access requirements.
• Group use cases into categories to help determine which can be consolidated onto a common platform and which need specialized tools.
• Research and propose alternative solutions, with a comparison of options against documented requirements, including gaps, risks, and high-level effort.
• Partner with Security, Cloud Engineering, IAM, and Enterprise Architecture to confirm alternatives meet enterprise standards (SSO, RBAC, logging, data protection).
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership in clear, non-technical language.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or Business Analyst in an enterprise environment.
• Demonstrated experience eliciting requirements directly from business users and translating them into clear documentation.
• Hands-on familiarity with work management and collaboration platforms (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps ALM, Microsoft Planner/Project/Power Platform, ServiceNow, or similar).
• Experience performing tool or platform evaluations, including gap analysis and solution comparison.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong facilitation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience with Smartsheet administration, automation, or migration.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 / Power Platform ecosystem.
• Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance, and change management practices.
• Experience in insurance, claims, or other regulated industries.
