- We are searching for an Engineering Analyst I to support the optimization of an industry-leading Integrity Management Program, ensuring natural gas system assets remain safe, reliable, and compliant. Operating within the Facilities Integrity Management Program (FIMP) team, this role focuses on generating comprehensive Integrity Plans for critical facilities. Key activities include collecting and analyzing asset records, identifying potential integrity threats, and executing fitness-for-service assessments to determine whether assets require ongoing maintenance or capital replacement.
- Core Responsibilities
- Execute Program Deliverables: Coordinate, plan, develop, and deliver projects within the Facilities Integrity Management Program (FIMP), managing assets such as pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, pressure relief valves, piping, and ancillary components.
- Manage Stakeholder Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with internal business units (including Station Operations, Station Engineering, Storage and Transmission, Engineering Construction, and Capital Programs) and external entities (including vendors, consultants, and the Technical Standards and Safety Authority) to resolve program-level challenges independently.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Support the facilities integrity assessment program to deliver safe, reliable service in strict adherence to applicable Canadian standards and regulations.
- Assess Station Assets: Coordinate asset inspections, engineering investigations, technical assessments, and threat mitigation strategies.
- Prioritize Projects: Support FIMP project prioritization activities within the overarching Asset Plan.
- Represent the Organization: Assist in representing the firm on industry-related committees, forums, formal codes and standards writing committees, or specialized task forces.
- Required Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience: Up to three (3) or more years of related work experience (Entry-level candidates meeting the educational threshold will be considered).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, Adobe Reader, and Microsoft Teams.
- Licensing: Valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract (required for operational travel).
- Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in station design or station integrity within the oil and gas sector.
- Data & Modeling Skills: Experience with statistical modeling or coding utilizing SPSS software or similar analytical tools.
- Information Systems: Familiarity with ProjectWise or comparable enterprise records management systems.
- Visualization Software: Experience utilizing Bentley Navigator or Bentley View.
- Employment Details
- Location: Chatham or North York, ON
- Work Structure: Hybrid model requiring three days of onsite presence (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) and two days of remote operations (Wednesday and Friday).
- Travel Requirements: Driving required; driver's abstract must be provided.
