Our client, located in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking an experienced EDI Technical Analyst to support healthcare data integration, EDI transaction processing, production support, and technical analysis initiatives. This role will work closely with business and technical teams to troubleshoot EDI transactions, analyze data flows, support healthcare-related integrations, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of critical data exchanges.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technical analyst with strong healthcare industry experience, EDI expertise, and advanced SQL skills who enjoys working with complex data, workflows, and enterprise integration processes.

  • Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – 4 Days Remote, 1 Day Onsite)

  • Key Responsibilities
  • • Analyze, troubleshoot, and support EDI transactions and healthcare data exchanges.
  • • Review and interpret data flows, workflows, file layouts, mapping documents, and system integrations.
  • • Develop and execute SQL queries for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • • Support production incidents, transaction failures, and data integrity issues.
  • • Work with business and technical teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • • Review healthcare data files in multiple formats, including flat files, XML, spreadsheets, and Unix-based file structures.
  • • Assist with testing, validation, and implementation of EDI enhancements and integrations.
  • • Document technical requirements, mapping specifications, and business processes.
  • Required Qualifications
  • • Strong SQL Server querying and data analysis experience.
  • • Healthcare industry experience with payer, provider, claims, eligibility, or enrollment systems.
  • • Experience supporting EDI transactions and healthcare integrations.
  • • Working knowledge of healthcare transaction sets including:
  • 270/271 Eligibility
  • 276/277 Claim Status
  • 278 Authorization
  • 834 Enrollment
  • 835 Remittance
  • 837 Claims
  • 997 Functional Acknowledgements
  • Experience working with flat files, XML, Excel-based data files, and Unix file structures.
  • Ability to read and analyze workflows, data flows, file layouts, and integration documentation.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA transaction standards and healthcare data exchange processes.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • • Experience supporting Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial healthcare systems.
  • • Knowledge of HIPAA 4010/5010 transaction standards.
  • • Experience with healthcare enrollment, claims, eligibility, authorization, and payment processing systems.
  • • Scripting or automation experience is a plus.
  • • Experience with EDI mapping, troubleshooting, and production support environments.
  • This position requires a candidate who is local to the Greater Phoenix area and available to work onsite one day per week.
