As we modernize our finance function through modern cloud data platforms and advanced analytics, we are seeking a transformative leader to own the finance data strategy.
  • As the Director, FP&A Data Lead, you will define and execute the roadmap for governed, high-quality, and AI-ready finance data products. Acting as the critical link between Finance and Technology, you will enable scalable planning, automated reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. This is a highly visible, emergent role where you will shape how finance data is structured, governed, and leveraged company-wide.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Roadmap & Leadership
  • Lead the end-to-end data strategy and roadmap, aligning with enterprise finance transformation goals including planning modernization, standardized reporting, executive decision support, and AI enablement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with FP&A, Controllership, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Business Unit Finance, Data Engineering, Architecture, Analytics, and Governance teams to translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Data Product Design & Governance
  • Design and govern reusable finance data products, semantic layers, and data models that standardize key metrics, reporting hierarchies, and financial logic across planning tools, dashboards, semantic platforms, and downstream analytics.
  • Execution & Delivery
  • Drive the full product lifecycle—translating requirements into technical specifications, managing agile backlogs, prioritizing use cases, enabling end-users through training/documentation, and measuring success via data quality and business impact KPIs.
  • Quality & Control Standards
  • Establish and enforce robust data governance frameworks, including validation rules, reconciliation routines, certification tiers, metadata management, data lineage, documentation, and access controls.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Champion standardization, simplification, and process enhancement across finance reporting while staying ahead of emerging trends in finance transformation and AI capabilities.
  • Qualifications
  • Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of professional experience, with a strong emphasis on finance processes and data transformation.
  • Desired Characteristics & Experience
  • Finance Acumen: Deep understanding of financial planning, analytics, management reporting, and financial hierarchies.
  • Industry Context: Experience driving finance data transformation within a large, complex, multi-business-unit organization (e.g., media, entertainment, technology, or consumer products).
  • Technical Tooling: Familiarity with modern data platforms, data catalogs, and semantic layer tools. Experience with enterprise performance management (EPM) or similar planning/BI platforms is highly preferred.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to bridge business and technology teams, aligning diverse stakeholders around a unified vision.
  • Product Mindset: Demonstrated experience defining roadmaps, prioritizing features, managing backlogs, and tracking adoption and business impact.
  • Governance Focus: Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and enterprise data quality standards.
