About the Role
A large enterprise organization is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to define and execute its long-term data architecture strategy. This leadership role will partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to build scalable data platforms, establish enterprise architecture standards, and enable advanced analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, helping shape the organization's future data ecosystem while driving enterprise architecture best practices.
What You'll Tackle
Develop and maintain the organization's enterprise data architecture roadmap.
Align enterprise data initiatives with business objectives and long-term technology strategy.
Partner with executive leadership to build scalable data capabilities that support analytics, reporting, artificial intelligence, and operational decision-making.
Establish enterprise standards for data governance, quality, security, metadata, and lifecycle management.
Design scalable cloud-based data platforms capable of supporting operational and analytical workloads.
Provide architectural leadership across modern data warehouses, data lakes, and distributed data environments.
Promote modern architecture patterns, including streaming, event-driven integration, and real-time data processing.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend architectural improvements that enhance scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Provide architectural oversight for enterprise data pipelines, integration frameworks, and data platform initiatives.
Establish best practices for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and enterprise data delivery.
Support API-driven and event-based integration strategies across enterprise applications.
Improve data reliability through lineage, monitoring, cataloging, metadata management, and data quality initiatives.
Define enterprise standards for privacy, security, metadata management, and access governance.
Ensure data platforms comply with enterprise security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Partner with infrastructure and security teams to implement secure cloud architecture and governance controls.
Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to architects and engineering teams.
Collaborate with engineering, product, analytics, and business stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
Conduct architecture reviews and establish enterprise design standards across technology initiatives.
Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence.
What You Bring
10+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms and architecture.
Strong understanding of modern cloud data ecosystems and distributed data technologies.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases, large-scale data modeling, and performance optimization.
Deep knowledge of enterprise data integration, orchestration, and pipeline development.
Experience implementing enterprise data governance, metadata management, and security best practices.
Strong understanding of both batch and streaming data architectures.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional technology initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline. An advanced degree is preferred.
