CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking a Director of Business Intelligence & Data Strategy for a global aviation hospitality organization. This executive-level leader will define the enterprise data strategy, modernize cloud-based analytics capabilities, and lead Business Intelligence and Data Engineering teams supporting Finance, Operations, Commercial, HR, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
- Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the enterprise Business Intelligence and data strategy.
- Lead the modernization of cloud-based data, reporting, and analytics platforms.
- Build and manage a high-performing Business Intelligence and Data Engineering team.
- Partner with executive leaders to identify opportunities to improve financial and operational performance through data.
- Develop executive dashboards, enterprise reports, KPIs, and self-service analytics capabilities.
- Establish standards for data architecture, governance, quality, security, metadata, and master data management.
- Automate manual reporting processes and improve the reliability of business information.
- Lead cross-functional data initiatives across Finance, Operations, Commercial, HR, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
- Prepare the organization for AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and other advanced data capabilities.
- Manage BI budgets, technology investments, vendors, and strategic partnerships.
- Promote accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the data organization.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, analytics, data engineering, or data management.
- At least five years of experience leading technical teams and enterprise BI initiatives.
- Proven success developing and executing enterprise BI and data strategies.
- Strong cloud-platform experience, preferably with AWS.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or a comparable enterprise data platform.
- Advanced SQL and enterprise data warehousing knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI and executive dashboard development.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, security, and master data management.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Experience implementing AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics initiatives.
- Experience leading enterprise cloud migrations and legacy reporting modernization.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methods.
- Familiarity with Terraform, DevOps, or Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience supporting global organizations and distributed teams.
