Job Title: Web Accessibility Analyst (WCAG Compliance Reviewer)
Overview / Summary
Seeking a Web Accessibility Analyst to conduct reviews for adherence with the SOM Digital Standards for Websites and Applications, including digital accessibility and branding standards. This contract has the potential to extend beyond two years based on SOM's needs.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct reviews of websites, applications, and documents for compliance with the Digital Standards for Websites and Applications.
Test digital accessibility using manual and automated tools, including screen readers and other assistive technologies.
Review websites and applications for adherence to branding standards.
Perform testing on desktop and mobile devices.
Thoroughly document review results.
Provide review results to application support teams and stakeholders.
Meet with teams to explain review findings.
Work closely with eMichigan team members to ensure processes are followed and optimized.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
Some college.
Required Skills
1+ years of experience testing applications for digital accessibility.
1 year of experience working with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Advanced knowledge of WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Advanced skills using assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
Preferred Skills
3+ years of experience testing applications for digital accessibility.
Certification related to WCAG.
Previous government experience.
