Derivatives Operations Analyst

• Company Description HOLSON Alternatives Group / HOLSON Asset Management, LLC is a Registered Introducing Broker that supports high net worth investors, institutions, and family offices in navigating the Alternatives and Managed Futures space. In addition, HOLSON offers trade execution, reconciliation, and clearing services to investment managers such as CTAs and Hedge Funds.
• Role Description This is a hybrid role for a Derivatives Operation Analyst. The professional in this role will assist hedging fund executives in day to day operation/sales/investment for a derivatives-focused managed futures hedge fund/CTA ($100m AUM). In addition, this role will perform hedge fund back office duties and trade reconciliation as needed to support a team and communicate with third-party trading partners in execution.
• Qualifications
• Strong passion for the market and understand of market dynamics a plus
• Strong quantitative background with skills in Mathematics and Statistics for model development and validation.
• Strong communication skills - daily interface with PMs, execution traders and brokers.
• Proficiency with programming or statistical tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) and familiarity with data analysis libraries and current AI tools.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of derivatives and alternative investment products; prior experience in trading or risk roles is beneficial. Understanding the managed futures industry is preferred.
• Internship for 2-3 months before full time position. Successful candidate will need to pass Series 3 after offered full time position

Must haves: Fluent in English and Mandarin required. Must reside in San Diego County or Southern California.
