Develops, maintains, and manages an analytics platform and core operations enabling the delivery of data products and data management processes. Ensures data storage and processing meets quality, traceability and security needs defined in data governance guidelines. Improves and scales operational data flows across different source and destination systems to meet data modeling, data science, machine learning requirements. Supports faster, safer cloud data migration process. Supports innovation of tools, methods and data structures to improve the management and protection of data.

  • Manages all aspects of data platform operations including production support.
  • Scales and standardizes data functions for cloud-based and/or on-premises platform .
  • Builds and leads the production support function and associated processes for production issues, establishes a tiered support model, and manage escalations.
  • Works with stakeholders to drive innovation and results through usage of the digital platform.
  • Leverages platform tools to optimize campaigns and functionality .
  • Establish processes and systems in collaboration with Data Management Tools and Enterprise Support teams to proactively monitor and alert all aspects of EDA's (Enterprise Data and Analytics) data platform and workflows
  • Establish and evangelize operational best practices, frameworks, and processes across all aspects of data platform operations
  • Focus may be on a business/group.
  • Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Works mostly independently.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
  • Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying our Risk Management Framework in the execution of your role, in line with our Risk Culture and within our approved Risk Appetite, making sound and risk informed decisions that align to business strategy, protect assets, and adhere to applicable policy documents (Frameworks, Policies, Standards, Procedures and Supporting documents), laws and regulations.
  • This opportunity will be a strong fit for students who are interested in data platform operations, production support, and technology innovation. Candidates should be especially interested in learning and applying DevOps tools such as GitHub for collaboration, version control, and workflow automation, as well as exploring how AI technologies can improve operational efficiency, troubleshooting, monitoring, and knowledge sharing within data platform support teams.

  • As a full-time employee, we would require 3-5 years of experience, however as part of the BMO campus program, we are looking for motivated individuals with a strong desire to learn.

  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.

Salary:

$50,100.00 - $93,000.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
