Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Data Specialist at On The Record, Inc. The Data Specialist will manage, organize, and maintain litigation-related data sets to support multimedia trial presentations and case preparation. Daily responsibilities include collecting and cleaning data, performing data analysis to generate insights, and supporting data-driven decisions across trial preparation workflows. The role involves building and updating data models, ensuring data accuracy and consistency, and collaborating with legal and technical teams to align data structures with case needs. The Data Specialist will also document processes, create reports or dashboards as needed, and help improve data management practices over time.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Data Analytics and Data Analysis skills for interpreting case-related data and generating actionable insights.
  • Candidates should possess solid Data Management capabilities, including data cleansing, organization, and maintenance of structured and unstructured legal data.
  • Candidates should possess applied Analytical Skills to identify trends, troubleshoot data issues, and support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Candidates should possess experience with Data Modeling to design and maintain schemas or structures that support multimedia trial presentation workflows.
  • Candidates should have proficiency with spreadsheets and data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or business intelligence platforms).
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Candidates should have effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with legal and technical stakeholders.
  • A bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, information systems, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
  • Experience working with legal, litigation, or multimedia presentation environments is a plus.
