About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Vision Data Scientist with an active TS/SCI security clearance (with a polygraph) to join our dynamic team in Reston, Virginia. In this role, you will collaborate closely with government sponsors to develop and deploy sophisticated AI models that interpret and analyze visual data, including images, videos, and sensor feeds. Your expertise will drive the design, development, and optimization of machine learning and deep learning models supporting critical capabilities such as object detection, facial recognition, behavior analysis, automated discovery, and decision support systems. You will play a key role in maintaining model versioning, evaluating performance, and identifying vulnerabilities to ensure the security and robustness of deployed solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to national security missions by leveraging cutting-edge AI/ML technologies and high-performance computing resources.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance with a current Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of related experience, or Associate’s degree with 8+ years of related experience, or High School diploma/GED with 11+ years of related experience
  • Experience developing and deploying machine learning models, particularly in computer vision, statistical modeling, time-series forecasting, or geospatial analytics
  • Proficiency in industry-standard data science tools and programming languages including Python, PostgreSQL/SQL, Apache Spark, and Git
  • Experience with open-source tools and large-scale datasets
  • Knowledge of distributed data processing frameworks such as Hadoop and Apache Spark
  • Experience working in cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure
  • Understanding of software and hardware optimization techniques for scalable AI/ML workloads
  • Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging research and open-source technologies into mission-focused AI/ML solutions
  • Design, develop, train, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models tailored for computer vision applications
  • Collect, curate, and analyze large, complex datasets to support model development and validation
  • Research, implement, document, and communicate technical methodologies, approaches, and results to stakeholders
  • Leverage high-performance computing resources, including GPU clusters and cloud-based environments, for training and deploying scalable AI/ML solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative capabilities aligned with national security objectives
  • Maintain model version control, evaluate performance metrics, and identify vulnerabilities to enhance security and robustness
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI, computer vision, and cybersecurity to continuously improve solutions
