About the Company
IPG is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to advance the development of bio-polymers and sustainable materials through advanced data science, statistics, and machine learning. This role will collaborate closely with polymer scientists, chemists, and engineers to accelerate R&D development cycles and improve material performance.
About the Role
The position supports research and development data workflows, Design of Experiments (DOE), and scalable analytics across experimental and process data. The role is remote with travel requirements as needed.
Responsibilities
- Apply advanced data science, statistics, and machine learning to materials R&D.
- Support the development and advancement of bio-polymers and sustainable materials.
- Collaborate with polymer scientists, chemists, and engineers on multidisciplinary R&D initiatives.
- Develop analytical approaches to accelerate material development cycles.
- Analyze experimental and process data to improve material performance.
- Support R&D data workflows and scalable analytics.
- Apply Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies to research and development activities.
- Translate experimental and process data into actionable insights for technical teams.
- Contribute to data-driven improvements across materials research and development.
Qualifications
- Professional experience in data science, statistics, and/or machine learning.
- Experience applying data-driven methods to research, engineering, scientific, or technical problems.
- Experience working with experimental and/or process data.
- Understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with scientists and engineers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
