About The Role

CoverMyMeds, a proud part of McKesson, is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to support forecasting and demand planning initiatives, specifically focusing on volume and contact center forecasting. This role involves developing sophisticated statistical and predictive models to enhance forecasting accuracy, improve workforce planning, and optimize operational decision-making processes. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including operations, workforce management, and analytics, to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic business outcomes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience applying advanced analytics to solve business problems. Proficiency in Python (required) and experience with R are essential, complemented by advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, the ability to analyze trends, troubleshoot issues, and create compelling data visualizations. Experience in healthcare or related industries is a plus, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to improve forecasting accuracy and support operational planning initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and refine statistical and predictive models for volume and contact center demand forecasting.
• Apply time series analysis, predictive modeling, and scenario planning techniques to anticipate future demand patterns.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for enhancing productivity, performance, and customer experience.
• Create and deliver clear, impactful data visualizations and insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Communicate forecasting results, insights, and strategic recommendations effectively to internal teams and external partners when necessary.
• Support the optimization of staffing and workforce planning models, providing guidance based on analytical findings.
