About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team, focusing on forecasting and demand planning initiatives. This role is pivotal in developing and refining statistical and predictive models to enhance forecasting accuracy, optimize workforce planning, and support operational decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams—including operations, workforce management, and analytics—to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights that drive business outcomes. The position emphasizes applying advanced analytical techniques such as time series forecasting, predictive modeling, and scenario planning to anticipate demand and improve overall operational efficiency. This role offers an exciting opportunity to impact key areas such as volume and contact center forecasting, contributing to the company's strategic growth and customer satisfaction goals.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of four years of experience applying advanced analytics to solve complex business problems. Candidates should demonstrate strong proficiency in Python (required) and R, with extensive experience in SQL and working with large datasets. Hands-on experience with data modeling, statistics, and applied mathematics is essential. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar is highly desirable. A solid understanding of forecasting techniques, including time series analysis, and the ability to analyze trends and troubleshoot analytical issues are critical. Excellent communication skills for creating visualizations and presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences are necessary. Candidates should also be authorized to work in the U.S., as sponsorship is not available for this role.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex datasets to improve forecasting accuracy and support operational planning initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance statistical and predictive models for volume and contact center forecasting.
- Apply techniques such as time series analysis, predictive modeling, and scenario planning to anticipate future demand patterns.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to identify opportunities for improving productivity, performance, and customer experience.
- Create compelling data visualizations and insights to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Present forecasting results and strategic recommendations to internal teams and external partners as needed.
- Support and optimize staffing and workforce planning models under the guidance of senior team members.
