We're developing AI-driven solutions to enhance the investment research workflow for investors operating in private markets. Our client base includes several leading private equity and management consulting firms ranked among the world's largest, collectively responsible for deploying billions in capital each year. We are a profitable, self-funded company with a team of 12 across two major financial hubs.

• 💡 Role Description
• As the first dedicated data professional on the team, you'll establish the analytical infrastructure that surfaces what's truly driving the business: which product experiences resonate with users, what keeps customers coming back, where commercial opportunities are won or lost and where attention is best directed.

This goes well beyond building dashboards. You'll have a direct hand in shaping how a rapidly growing AI company translates data into action. It's a foundational position with broad visibility and meaningful ownership.

• 🔧 Potential Future Projects
• Product usage & engagement: Determine which features drive long-term retention and which underperform, broken down by client type, user profile and tenure, to provide the Product team with clear prioritisation guidance;
• Account health & risk modelling: Develop a customer health scoring system that evaluates accounts based on behavioural signals such as login frequency, feature utilisation and search activity, enabling the Customer Success team to intervene before accounts are at risk of leaving;
• CRM integrity & enrichment: Review and improve CRM data quality, building automated pipelines that keep records aligned with real-time product usage and ensure the Sales team operates with accurate and current account intelligence;
• Commercial funnel analysis: Chart the complete journey from initial contact to closed deal, identifying friction points and uncovering the usage patterns that most reliably predict conversion.

• 🔥 About You
• We're looking for a data professional who:
• Is genuinely curious about how a product is being used in practice and skilled at converting those observations into concrete decisions;
• Brings a solid technical foundation: proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis and visualisation (pandas, matplotlib/plotly or similar) and familiarity with a BI or dashboarding platform such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau or equivalent;
• Embraces AI-assisted workflows and modern development practices;
• Has hands-on experience with product analytics platforms (e.g. Amplitude, Mixpanel or comparable tools) including comfort with event-level data and funnel methodology;
• Has worked directly with CRM systems or similar commercial data sources;
• Communicates clearly and persuasively. Our commercial stakeholders are sharp but non-technical and they'll rely on you to make complex data legible and actionable;
• Operates independently and thrives in ambiguous environments. There is no existing data team to lean on; you'll be as responsible for framing the right questions as for answering them;
• Brings experience in a B2B SaaS, fintech or enterprise software context where usage patterns are layered and customer segments vary significantly.
