Data Scientist Lead - Gen AI/Network Services

• About the role
• We are looking for a Data Scientist Lead - Gen AI - Network Services for a large global financial services organization.
• The role is focused on driving responsible AI adoption across Network Services, including AI use case intake, prioritization, delivery coordination, governance, and value realization. The person will work closely with infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, and central AI teams to identify AI opportunities, support execution, and ensure measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI demand intake and prioritization across Network Services
• Assess AI use cases based on business value, feasibility, data readiness, and risk
• Coordinate delivery of AI capabilities across business, technology, and central AI teams
• Ensure AI governance, compliance, and risk processes are followed
• Support adoption of approved enterprise AI platforms, tools, and reusable patterns
• Track success metrics, adoption, value, risks, and delivery progress
• Maintain visibility of the AI portfolio, including use cases, owners, dependencies, and status
• Support AI capability building within infrastructure and network teams
• Help drive continuous improvement of AI solutions based on feedback and outcomes
• Provide support for AI solutions in production together with SMEs

Requirements

• Strong experience in AI-enabled transformation, product delivery, or enterprise change leadership
• Experience delivering AI or data-driven solutions from idea to implementation and adoption
• Experience with Agentic AI solutions, preferably for infrastructure or operations teams
• Good understanding of AI agents, LLMs, MCP, MLOps, and data / platform architecture
• Background in network infrastructure, network operations, or enterprise infrastructure environments
• Experience working in large, matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders
• Understanding of governance, risk, compliance, and control requirements
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
• Ability to define KPIs, business outcomes, and value realization measures
• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry would be a plus

This posting includes an anticipated salary range that SoftServe expects to offer for this position. The range provided reflects the base salary only. Final compensation within this range will be determined based on some factors, including, but not limited to: geographic location, relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, budget, and market conditions.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $140,000 – $220,000 annually, in line with our internal compensation framework and budget allocation for the role. Most candidates are offered a salary within this disclosed range. If the role is eligible for a variable pay plan, this would be considered separately and may provide additional earnings beyond the base salary range reflected here.
