- Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Data Scientist at Knexus. The Data Scientist will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and evaluate machine learning and data science models that support autonomy and decision-making solutions. Daily responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and analyzing complex datasets; applying statistical methods; building predictive and prescriptive models; and creating clear visualizations and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role also involves experimenting with new algorithms, validating model performance, contributing to technical documentation and publications, and supporting the deployment of intelligent software solutions. The Data Scientist will collaborate in an iterative environment, contribute to project planning, and ensure that all work adheres to rigorous testing and quality standards.
- Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Data Science and Data Analysis, with the ability to design experiments and build robust models.
- Proficiency in Statistics and Data Analytics to interpret data, quantify uncertainty, and derive actionable insights.
- Experience with Data Visualization tools and techniques to present complex results clearly and effectively.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R) and libraries for machine learning and analytics.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts, model evaluation, and deployment in production or research environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document methods and present results to diverse audiences.
- Experience with defense, government, or research-focused projects is beneficial but not required.
