  • Role Description This full-time, on-site Data Scientist role is based in Longueuil, QC. The Data Scientist will work closely with business stakeholders to understand challenges, define analytical questions, and translate them into data-driven solutions. Daily responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and preparing data from multiple internal and external sources, as well as conducting exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies. The role involves building, validating, and deploying statistical and machine learning models to support pricing, risk assessment, customer insights, and operational efficiency. The Data Scientist will create clear visualizations and reports, present findings to technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models and analytics into business processes. The role also includes monitoring model performance, improving methodologies, and contributing to best practices in data governance, documentation, and reproducibility.
  • Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Data Science and Statistics, with experience applying quantitative methods to real-world business problems.
  • Proficiency in Data Analytics and Data Analysis, including data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory analysis.
  • Ability to create effective Data Visualization outputs (dashboards, reports, presentations) for diverse stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages and tools commonly used in data science (e.g., Python or R, SQL, and relevant libraries).
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working with large datasets, databases, and cloud or enterprise data environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
