- About the Role
- We are looking for a Data Analytics Research Scientist with deep Medicare Advantage (MA) Stars forecasting expertise to develop advanced predictive models for healthcare quality programs. The role focuses on measure-level and contract-level forecasting, Test & Learn experimentation, causal inference, and predictive analytics using Python/R. The ideal candidate will have a strong payer or health plan background and recent experience working with healthcare data while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Key Responsibilities
- Own the year-end MA Stars forecasting model with measure-level and contract-level predictions.
- Develop advanced statistical and machine learning models for healthcare analytics.
- Lead the Test & Learn pilot framework including experiment design, patient identification, and evaluation.
- Apply causal inference techniques to evaluate interventions and business outcomes.
- Build scalable analytics solutions using Python and/or R.
- Collaborate with clinical, product, and engineering teams.
- Ensure PHI/HIPAA-compliant handling of healthcare data.
- Present analytical insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Research Scientist with MA Stars Forecasting & Modeling expertise.
- Deep payer or health plan background.
- Python and/or R.
- Advanced Statistical Analysis.
- Machine Learning.
- Causal Inference.
- Predictive Modeling.
- PHI / HIPAA-compliant data handling practices.
- HL7 ADT message format knowledge.
- Recent experience in Healthcare data domain.
- Nice to Have
- Databricks or AWS experience.
- FHIR interoperability knowledge.
- SQL for healthcare analytics.
- Power BI or Tableau.
