Data Scientist — AI (WFH)

## About the Role

Optum is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI solutions across machine learning initiatives, including generative AI. This role combines technical leadership, architecture, and hands-on development with a strong focus on governance, reproducibility, security, and production-ready AI capabilities.

The Principal Data Scientist will collaborate with research, data engineering, and product teams to translate advanced AI concepts into production solutions while leveraging cloud machine learning services and MLOps practices.

## Key Responsibilities
