Role Description The Data Science Vice President is a full-time remote role responsible for shaping and executing the fund’s data strategy to support investment decisions and portfolio performance. This role involves building data models and analytics frameworks to evaluate startup opportunities, monitor portfolio companies, and identify market trends and emerging sectors. The Data Science Vice President will lead the design of metrics, dashboards, and predictive models, and collaborate closely with partners and investment teams to translate insights into clear recommendations. Day-to-day activities include managing data acquisition and governance, mentoring junior analysts, and presenting findings to leadership and portfolio companies in a clear, actionable format.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Data Science and Data Analytics skills.
Candidates should possess robust Statistics and Analytical Skills.
Candidates should possess expertise in Pattern Recognition and related data modeling techniques.
Experience applying data science in investing, venture capital, private equity, or financial services.
Proficiency with common data science tools and languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and visualization platforms.
Demonstrated ability to lead data teams, manage complex projects, and communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working in or with startups, especially in global or emerging markets, is highly beneficial.
