  • Job Description
  • We are looking for a Data Science Consultant with strong expertise in the Pharmaceutical domain, specifically in Respiratory / COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). This role focuses on driving data-driven insights, stakeholder engagement, and translating business problems into analytics solutions, rather than deep hands-on model development.
  • The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and analytics teams, guiding analytical approaches and delivering actionable insights across COPD-related use cases. This role requires strong domain understanding, consulting capabilities, and storytelling skills to influence business decisions.
  • Roles & Responsibilities
  • Partner with client stakeholders to understand business challenges in the COPD / respiratory therapeutic area and translate them into structured analytical approaches.
  • Define and guide analytics use cases such as patient journey analysis, treatment pathways, adherence, disease progression, and market access insights for COPD.
  • Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to drive solution development and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Interpret analytical outputs and translate them into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Present insights to senior stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure analytics solutions are aligned with clinical and commercial aspects of COPD management.
  • Drive client engagement, requirement gathering, and solution discussions in a consulting setup.
  • Contribute to problem structuring, solution design, and delivery oversight.
  • Skills Required
  • Consulting & Business Skills (Primary Focus)
  • Strong consulting mindset with the ability to translate business problems into analytics solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in client-facing environments.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills to communicate insights to senior leadership.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and navigate ambiguity.
  • Domain Expertise (Mandatory)
  • Strong experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with exposure to respiratory diseases, specifically COPD.
  • Understanding of COPD disease area, including:
  • Patient journey (diagnosis, treatment, adherence)
  • Disease progression and management
  • Treatment options and therapy landscape
  • Familiarity with commercial analytics, patient analytics, or market access use cases in COPD.
  • Experience working with pharma datasets such as claims, EMR/EHR, Rx, and market access datasets (IQVIA, Symphony, etc.).
  • Technical Understanding (Nice to Have)
  • Basic understanding of data science and analytics concepts.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Python, SQL, or visualization tools is a plus (not mandatory).
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams and guide solution development without deep coding involvement.
  • Education / Qualification
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Life Sciences, Public Health, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing client engagements and leading teams.
