The Data Reporting Analytics Contractor will support the design, development, and delivery of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions for the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance business. This role will collaborate with business stakeholders, Actuarial, Underwriting, Finance, BI architects, data modelers, and technical teams to translate business needs into scalable, governed, and effective reporting solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in business intelligence, P&C insurance finance, reporting solution design, data modeling, and security management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Power BI and Sigma reporting solutions from requirements through implementation.
- Facilitate requirements and solution design discussions with business stakeholders, functional leads, BI architects, and technical teams.
- Translate business requirements into practical reporting, analytics, and data visualization solutions.
- Define and standardize key insurance finance metrics, including :Written premium, Earned premium, Losses, Loss ratios, Combined ratios, Commissions, Profit and loss, Balance sheet reporting
- Collaborate with Actuarial, Underwriting, and Finance stakeholders to define metrics and prioritize reporting needs.
- Provide input to data modelers on updates required to support reporting, performance, access, and security requirements.
- Design and maintain governed semantic models, datasets, and dataflows.
- Configure and support Power BI security capabilities, including row-level security and access management processes.
- Develop monthly close reports, regulatory reporting, executive KPI dashboards, and operational analytics.
- Support self-service analytics through Sigma Computing and related platforms.
- Apply enterprise reporting standards, development practices, quality controls, and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate reporting activities across analysts, developers, data modelers, and technical teams.
- Support automation, real-time data pipelines, and process improvements to reduce reporting cycle times.
- Analyze reporting performance and recommend improvements to data models, dashboards, and data delivery processes.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience developing and delivering business intelligence solutions, preferably within the insurance finance domain.
- Experience supporting or coordinating BI delivery teams.
- Strong knowledge of P&C insurance processes, metrics, and financial reporting.
- Experience partnering with Actuarial, Underwriting, and Finance stakeholders.
- Advanced expertise in Power BI, including: DAX, Row-level security, DirectQuery, Dataflows, Semantic modeling, Performance optimization
- Experience developing dashboards that track written premium, earned premium, loss ratios, combined ratios, and other insurance KPIs.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Experience designing or supporting cloud data warehouses, particularly Snowflake.
- Experience delivering monthly close, regulatory, and executive reporting.
- Strong communication, requirements gathering, stakeholder collaboration, and solution design skills.
- Demonstrated experience using automation and governed data models to improve reporting efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Sigma Computing, ThoughtSpot, Looker, Tableau, Cognos, or MicroStrategy.
- Tableau expertise, including LOD expressions, parameter actions, and Tableau Server administration.
- Experience supporting enterprise data governance, security, and access management processes.
- Knowledge of insurance regulatory reporting requirements.
- Experience reducing reporting timelines through automation, real-time pipelines, and self-service analytics.
- Insurance industry experience, particularly within P&C insurance, is preferred.

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $ 50 - $60 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
