- Position Summary
- Sr. Associate Data Product Manager
- The Sr. Associate Data Product Manager role will support the execution, day-to-day management, and
- continuous improvement of a web-based data application. This role will report into the Sr. Lead, Data
- Product Owner, to gather and translate business requirements, coordinate product initiatives, and help
- ensure the application is delivered with quality and aligned to business needs. The ideal candidate is
- highly organized, proactive, and eager to grow in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Primary Responsibilities
- · Product Planning & Requirements
- o Support Sr. Lead, Data Product Owner in planning and executing the product roadmap
- o Translate business and user needs into Product Requirements Documents, creating clear
- and actionable user stories and technical requirements for design and development teams
- o Develop a deep understanding of the application functionality and user workflows to
- identify opportunities for product enhancements and process improvements
- o Maintain, prioritize, and refine the product backlog in collaboration with the PM
- o Collaborate with data scientist to identify interesting user behavior trends or gaps that
- could indicate product opportunities/shortcomings.
- · Project Delivery
- o Track project timelines, sprint schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risks to support
- successful delivery. Communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders
- o Develop and maintain detailed product documentation, project plans, decisions logs, etc.
- o Identify opportunities to improve project workflows and documentation standards
- · Application Support
- o Support the day-to-day administration of the application, including content management,
- user support, and ongoing maintenance activities to ensure a high-quality user experience
- o Perform quality assurance testing across user roles to validate new features
- o Coordinate with technical teams to investigate, triage, and resolve user issues
- o Build aligned strategy to maximize user understanding of the product and support
- successful engagement, including user guides, training videos, and user communications
- · Stakeholder & User Engagement
- o Develop a strong understanding of the workflows and needs of diverse user groups to
- ensure product enhancements effectively address business needs
- o Gather, organize, and synthesize user feedback to help inform future product
- enhancements and backlog prioritization.
- o Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and end users to
- understand evolving business needs and improve the overall user experience
- o Support Sr Lead, Data Product Owner in building content for stakeholder engagement or
- user-facing presentations.
Required Qualifications:
- Work Experience
- · 2-5 years of experience in Product Management or a related field
- · Experience working with technical products, software applications, or data products
- · Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical requirements
- · Proficiency with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Asana
- Communication & Collaboration
- · Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- · Ability to communicate effectively with across technical and non-technical audiences
- · Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable communication
- · Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative cross-functional relationships
- Organization & Execution
- · Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- · Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
- · Adaptable and comfortable shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
- Problem Solving & Initiative
- · Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- · Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement
- · Demonstrated curiosity and a desire to learn new technologies, products, or business domains
Preferred Qualifications:
- · Experience supporting web-based or mobile software applications
- · Experience with data analytics or product performance KPIs
- · Experience implementing AI-enabled features or workflow enhancements
