Role Description The Data Management Specialist will be responsible for overseeing data governance, data quality, and master data management across the HummingBird platform to ensure reliable and consistent information for internal teams and customers. In this full-time, on-site role based in the San Diego Metropolitan Area, this specialist will design and maintain data standards, support data integration processes, and monitor data flows between HummingBird and connected ATS/VMS systems. Day-to-day tasks include conducting data audits, resolving data issues, documenting data definitions and workflows, and collaborating with product, engineering, and analytics teams to improve data structures and reporting. The role also involves supporting the development of data-driven insights, optimizing data models for scalability, and contributing to best practices that enhance platform performance and user experience.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Data Management, including experience designing and maintaining data models, data dictionaries, and data workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Data Governance practices, such as defining data policies, standards, access controls, and compliance procedures.
- Proficiency in Data Quality management, including data validation, cleansing, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Experience with Master Data Management, focusing on creating and maintaining single sources of truth for key entities (e.g., candidates, clients, jobs).
- Well-developed Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Experience working with relational databases, SQL, and modern data tools or platforms; familiarity with data integration and APIs is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate complex data concepts clearly, and work on-site in the San Diego Metropolitan Area.
- Experience in HR technology, recruitment platforms, or SaaS environments is a plus.
