About the Opportunity:
The DATA INTEGRATION ENGINEER I will support the development and maintenance of healthcare data pipelines that enable analytics and AI functions. This role is essential for ensuring accurate data ingestion, processing, and delivery across teams, directly impacting the quality and usability of healthcare data within the organization. The position offers growth potential for professionals early in their data engineering careers.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily operation of production data pipelines to ensure successful processing
- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline failures and data processing issues
- Investigate and address data quality problems and anomalies
- Perform data validation and testing for accuracy and consistency
- Analyze datasets to identify and prevent data issues
- Collaborate with implementation teams on client data formats and integration
- Support data reconciliation during client onboarding
- Write and optimize SQL queries for transformations and analysis
- Assist in development, testing, and maintenance of data integration pipelines
- Document data workflows, pipeline behavior, and operational procedures
- Participate in code reviews to improve quality and practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases
- Experience with scripting or automation using Python or similar language
- Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline fundamentals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with healthcare data such as Medicare, Medicaid, or medical claims
- Familiarity with healthcare code sets like ICD, CPT, or HCPCS
- Exposure to modern data platforms such as Snowflake or Apache Airflow
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
