Role Description The Data Insights Analyst (Remote, Entry-Level) at Unicsul - Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul is a part-time role focused on supporting data-driven decision-making across academic and administrative functions. On a day-to-day basis, the analyst will collect, clean, and organize data from various institutional systems, apply basic analytical and statistical techniques, and assist in building reports and dashboards to highlight trends and performance indicators. The role includes translating data findings into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders, preparing visualizations and summaries, and documenting methods and results to ensure consistency and accuracy. The analyst will collaborate remotely with faculty, staff, and other data professionals, contributing to ongoing projects that improve student experience, operational efficiency, and institutional planning.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and foundational Data Analytics capabilities to interpret data, identify patterns, and support evidence-based recommendations.
Candidates should possess basic knowledge of Statistics and Data Modeling to assist in building simple models, performing hypothesis tests, and validating analytical results.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present findings clearly, create understandable reports, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Candidates should possess familiarity with spreadsheet tools and introductory data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, or similar) and be comfortable learning new data tools.
Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote, part-time environment.
A background in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field (completed or in progress) is beneficial but not strictly required.
An interest in higher education analytics and willingness to develop new technical and analytical skills through training and mentorship is highly valued.
