Role : Senior Solution / Platform Architect – Enterprise Data Governance & AI

Travel : Remote role – Travel once or twice a month to Chicago IL (Expenses Paid)

Primary Skills:

• Security and responsible-AI mindset for a regulated, healthcare environment.
• Strong US client-facing communication; can carry an architecture review board and a steering committee
• Gen-AI solution architecture grounded in governed metadata (RAG, classification, search), tied to outcomes.
• Lineage and metadata architecture across cloud and BI tools
• Microsoft Purview with metadata, classification and lineage depth
• Enterprise data platform and governance architecture at scale.

Secondary skills:

• Multi-cloud (Azure plus AWS) and hybrid hosting.
• Healthcare or medical device data domains; HIPAA-aware design
• Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, ADF and Power BI or Tableau lineage
• Microsoft Purview hands-on

We are seeking a Senior Solution / Platform Architect to provide technical leadership for a large-scale Enterprise Data Discovery and Governance transformation program. This individual will serve as the architectural authority responsible for evolving an enterprise data platform from a successful pilot into a production-scale solution spanning Azure, AWS, Snowflake, and on-premises environments.

• The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in enterprise data governance, metadata management, Microsoft Purview, and modern AI-enabled data platforms with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. This role will partner closely with executive leadership, architecture review boards, engineering teams, and data governance stakeholders to establish the long-term technical vision for the platform.
• Required Qualifications
• 12+ years of experience in enterprise data platform, solution, or data governance architecture.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale metadata, catalog, lineage, and governance solutions.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Purview, including metadata management, classification, and lineage.
• Experience designing enterprise metadata and lineage architectures across cloud platforms and BI ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of AI-enabled data discovery solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), metadata-driven search, automated classification, and contextual information retrieval.
• Experience establishing enterprise security, governance, and Responsible AI standards.
• Excellent executive communication and presentation skills with experience leading architecture review boards and executive design discussions.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview Collections, Scan Rule Sets, Classifications, and Atlas APIs.
• Experience with Snowflake, Azure Data Factory (ADF), dbt, Airflow, and enterprise analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience within healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries with knowledge of HIPAA considerations.
• Experience designing hybrid and multi-cloud architectures across Azure and AWS.
• Familiarity with data contracts, data access governance, and enterprise data-sharing patterns.
