• Our direct Client is looking for Data Governance Lead-12 Months Contract-Remote opportunity-Direct Customer.

Primary Skills : Data Quality Management, Microsoft Purview, Azure Data Governance Stack, Data Governance Frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute data governance initiatives with clear timelines, ownership, and deliverables.
• Implement governance processes across Azure data platforms including Microsoft Purview, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, and Data Lake.
• Manage data cataloging, metadata management, data lineage, stewardship models, policies, and data quality frameworks.
• Create and maintain documentation including data quality rules, governance procedures, process guides, and clarification notes.
• Work closely with business and technical teams to define priorities, resolve blockers, and track progress.
• Support governance council meetings by preparing materials, documenting decisions, and ensuring action items are completed.
• Provide regular status updates highlighting progress, risks, and business value.
• Stay focused on assigned governance and analytics priorities and deliver measurable improvements.
• Required Skills:
• 3–6 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, or Analytics Governance.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, lineage, and governance.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics / Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, and Data Lake environments.
• Strong understanding of data stewardship, data quality rules, metadata, lineage, and governance frameworks.
• Ability to work independently, execute defined priorities, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Banking / Financial Services domain experience preferred.
• Prior consulting or client-facing experience is a plus.

Education:

Bachelor s degree in computer science, information Systems, or related discipline.

• This role is open to W2 or those seeking Corp-Corp employment.
• The salary range for this role is 100-120 k/annum or Corp-Corp rates please contact the recruiter.
